Small Biz Sale – Experts say most small businesses sell for 6 to 8 times EBITDA.  

Point of Purchase Advertising International finds 76% of grocery shoppers make their purchasing decisions in-store. It seems people like to explore the isles to see what new products might be available as they look for inspiration around what they might eat.  

Adecco Group finds 72% of workers think coworkers use sick days when they are not ill; 47% say they have pretended to be sick to get time off; and 40% of men and 11% of women have abused time off for jury duty.  

Bankrate survey finds 28% of people have no emergency savings, 21% of people have less than 3 months cushion, 17% have 3 t o5 months and 25% have 6 months or more (the rest declined to answer).

A study by the Chronicle of Philanthropy finds the median household charity donation is $2,564 annually.

The net worth of U.S. households is 12% below the pre-recession peak.

MTV found 75% of Generation Y workers (those in their 20’s and early 30’s) want to work for themselves one day; 89% want to be constantly learning on the job and 85% think their familiarity with technology makes them a faster worker. In addition, 92% feel their company is lucky to have them as an employee and 80% want regular feedback and recognition (50% want feedback at least once a week).
